A Critical Milestone
We are applying to officially register Rosewood College
Over the coming days, we will be taking one of the most important steps in the life of Rosewood College: formally applying to have the school registered with the Victorian government. Years of hard work has led the Families for Education team to this moment. The formal registration is the step that makes everything real.

What does this mean?
In Victoria, every school must be approved and registered by a government body called the VRQA (Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority) before it can open. Think of it as the licence to operate. A successful application demonstrates that Rosewood College meets every requirement — from governance and curriculum to staffing and the wellbeing of students.

When will we know the outcome?
Our submission must be received by the VRQA before 30 June. Following a preliminary review, we hope to receive initial feedback in July. A successful preliminary outcome would mean we can officially begin the student enrolment process for Rosewood College, as we continue working toward full registration and opening.

Ideals in Teaching
Our latest Ideals in Teaching evening on Friday 5 June brought together families to hear from Joshua and Natasha Peart — a founding family of Harkaway Hills College — on the impact of a parent-centred education on children and family life. It was a wonderful reminder of the vision at the heart of Rosewood College. The next evening in this series is planned for Friday 28 August. Details to follow soon.

Rosary Pilgrimage
On Saturday 23 May, families gathered at Our Lady Ta' Pinu Shrine in Merrimu to pray the Rosary together — for the needs of our families and for the school. It was a moving morning of shared faith, followed by a simple picnic together, with children running around and families getting to know one another. These moments of prayer as a community are part of what will make Rosewood College something more than just a school.

End of Financial Year
Consider supporting Rosewood College
As the financial year draws to a close, if you have been looking for a way to contribute to what we are building, now is a good moment. Every dollar goes directly toward Rosewood College — from hosting community events to the practical costs of building a school: land surveys, town planning, and the groundwork that will become our campus.
Please note that at this stage, donations to Families for Education are not tax-deductible. Even so, your generosity is a meaningful act of support for the families and children who will one day call Rosewood College home.
