Welcome
A new way to keep in touch
Welcome to the first of our regular email updates as we journey towards the opening of a parent-partnered independent school for Melbourne's West, forming young people in Catholic faith, character, and academic excellence. A school built by families, for families.
As a prospective parent or friend of the project, Families for Education will be keeping you informed of our progress and key milestones along the way. Following the purchase of our school site late last year the team is working hard across a wide range of areas, including the master building plan, regulatory approvals, curriculum development, uniform design, fee structures, and much more.
To ensure you don't miss any important updates, make sure info@ffe.org.au is added to your 'safe senders' list.
In this edition, we revisit our recent Ideals in Teaching Event – presented by our founding school principal – and look ahead to an upcoming opportunity to gather again as a community.

Recent Event
The SALT of the Earth
More than 70 friends of the school project joined us for our latest Ideals in Teaching event at The Club, Caroline Springs. Our special guest speaker Dr. Anne-Marie Irwin introduced the SALT (Scripture and Liturgy Teaching) Approach — a distinctive method at the heart of our school's vision for forming students in faith and character.
The SALT Approach facilitates a hands-on and interactive learning experience for students as they journey through their faith and family life. Employed in several diocesan and independent schools in Australia and New Zealand, it recognises how deeply children learn when their senses, imagination and capacity for wonder are fully engaged. SALT provides beautiful and accessible materials designed to give catechists and teachers the confidence and tools they need to bring faith to life by introducing the realities of Jesus' life on earth – the places He lived, the people He met, and the Church He established.
For those who attended, we hope the introduction to SALT was inspiring and provided a sense of why our school will be unlike any other in Melbourne's West when it comes to the religious formation of students. We encourage you to visit the SALT Approach website and sign up to the SALT Learning Hub to find out more about this amazing program.
A short video recap is available — watch it here. Keep an eye out for further details about our next Ideals in Teaching on Friday, May 29th.

As we await with eager anticipation the joy of the Resurrection this Easter, we
extend to you and your family our wishes for a blessed Holy Week ahead.
May His love surround and sustain you always, and may He guide us on this
journey, granting us the wisdom and humility needed to carry this work forward.
